Moon-Cakes-copie-1.jpg The Chinese have got a festival who's called Chung Ch'ui on the 15th day on the 8th month that is to say on the 15th August. It is the moon's birthday. On the night, they saw a rabbit, not a man, on the moon's face.
On this special day, they cook rabbit and cakes and eat pig, meal, fruits and "moon's cakes".
Formerly, when China had been conquered by ennemies armies, Chinese found themselves homeless and with no food.
When the Chinese decided to attack, the woman cooked moon's cakes which were distributed to every family.
Every year moon cakes are eaten in memory of this victory.
